  2. When you have your degree, you can already apply to sit for the Medical College Admission Test. This test will check if you have good knowledge and abilities to enter a medical university.
  3. When you take the MCAT and get a passing score, you enter a medical university. Here you will study for four more years. Note that the medical university must have an LCME accreditation.
  4. After finishing medical school, you finally get a Doctor of Medicine degree. Then you must complete a two-year residency program that is approved by ACGME.
  5. When you finish the residency program, you must pass the examinations. Note that the passing score is not less than 75%. The exams are USMLE, FLEX, NBME, or LMCC.
  6. When you have completed these steps, you are finally ready to apply to the Board to get a license.
